The reporter, Ben Chapman (who also wrote about our Book Hive opening) is looking to speak with parents:
1) whose child was denied a spot in the G&T program because no slots were available;
2) who could not get a pre-K spot for their child (in-zone family would be ideal);
3) who have moved to the neighborhood because they have heard good things about P.S. 9.
Anyone willing to speak about their personal experience with these issues can call Ben directly at 646-509-4201 — he must speak with parents early in the day on Thursday, Jan 13 in order to make his deadline. (If you would like to speak to a press outreach coordinator before or after speaking to a reporter, please call/text Michelle French at 646-552-4600.)
